02 / In plain words
What BRIDGES pre-check means
The pre-check is the second step of our process, right after the enquiry. Its purpose is to see the risks before any non-refundable spend: before the due diligence fee, the contribution and transfers.
We check sanctions and wanted lists, public status (PEP) and adverse media, courts and bankruptcies, corporate connections, source of income and the banking profile. Each adult family member separately.
We need answers to our questions and consent to the check. In 1-2 working days you receive a risk opinion and strategy.
A simple example
The pre-check showed a client's company had a sanctioned partner. We found a solution before filing, and the client did not lose the due diligence fee.

05 / Key facts
Key facts
01BRIDGES pre-check
Before the agreement and any payment
We check the applicant and family right after the enquiry - before the FIU fee, the contribution and any transfers. Risks surface before any non-refundable spend.
02What we check
Sanctions, PEP status, courts, links, source of funds
Sanctions and wanted lists, politically exposed status and adverse media, court cases and bankruptcies, corporate links, source of income and banking profile.
03Who we check
Every adult family member separately
The check is not limited to the main applicant: each adult in the application is checked on their own.
04Timing and result
1-2 working days, a risk report and a strategy
We need your answers and your consent to the check. Within 1-2 working days you receive a risk report and a filing strategy.
Common mistakes
Paying the FIU due diligence fee without a pre-assessment.
The FIU fee (DSP $5,000, CIIP $8,000) is not refundable. Do the pre-check first, then decide whether to file.
Hiding a past refusal.
Tell us about any past refusal at the start. We build it into the strategy, and a hidden fact can still come up in the FIU check.
Not naming every family member.
Name everyone who will be in the application, including adult children and parents. We check each adult separately; otherwise their risk stays unknown.

07 / Questions
Frequently asked questions
To see the risks before any non-refundable spend: the FIU fee, the contribution and transfers. If we find a risk, we look for a solution before filing.
1-2 working days after we receive your answers and consent.
Answers to our questions and consent to the check. If there are several adults in the application, each one is checked.
Sanctions and wanted lists, PEP status and adverse media, court cases and bankruptcies, corporate links, source of income and banking profile.
We run the pre-check ourselves, before the agreement and any payment. The FIU due diligence is carried out by a Vanuatu government body after filing, for a fee of $5,000 (DSP) or $8,000 (CIIP).
We describe it in the report and propose a strategy before filing. In one case an applicant held a company with a sanctioned partner; we resolved it before filing and the due diligence fee was not lost.
