02 / In plain words
What Additional family member (Vanuatu) means
An additional member is each family member beyond the composition covered by the base price. The surcharge depends on the programme.
Under the contribution programme (DSP) each additional person costs +$10,000 under the official schedule; the total for a large family follows the invoice. Under the fund programme (CIIP) the amount is the same for a family of up to four, and from the fifth person it is $26,500 each.
A family member can also be added later for a surcharge by invoice. If a marriage or adding a relative is planned, it is better value before filing.
A simple example
A family of five in the fund: $165,000 for the first four and $26,500 for the fifth - $191,500 including the fee.

05 / Key facts
Key facts
01Additional member
A family member beyond the base family size
Each base price covers a set family size. Every person beyond it is an additional member and costs extra under the rules of the chosen program.
02DSP donation program
+$10,000 for each member after the fourth
The price table ends with a couple and two children at $180,000. The fifth and each further member add $10,000 to the government donation; the total follows the official invoice.
03CIIP fund program
+$26,500 for each person from the fifth
A family of up to four pays a single $157,000. From the fifth person the surcharge is $26,500 each, paid together with the main amount on the same fund program invoice.
04Adding someone later
Possible, but cheaper before submission
A family member can be added after citizenship is granted, against a separate invoice. If a marriage or adding a relative is already planned, it is cheaper and faster to do it before submission.
Common mistakes
Pricing the CIIP fund program per person from the first
The fund program is one $157,000 amount for a family of up to four. The $26,500 surcharge applies only from the fifth person.
Quoting figures from old reviews
Current surcharges are +$10,000 per additional member under DSP and +$26,500 from the fifth person under CIIP. We check the total against the official invoice.
Adding a relative after approval without working out the cost
First calculate the surcharge and timing of a separate application. If the person can join the main application, include them before submission.

How to prepare
Include everyone you plan to include before filing: later it costs more and takes longer.
What we do for you. We recalculate the amount for your family and add a new member before the oath if they appear during the process.
