What Sworn translator in Cyprus means
A sworn translator is a translator listed on the official register of sworn translators in Cyprus. Only their translation into Greek is accepted by authorities as official.
For PR you need sworn translations of police certificates, marriage and birth certificates, tax returns and other documents that are not in English or Greek. English documents are usually not translated. As a guide, expect about €18-23 per 250-word page and about €14 for a short document. It takes 3-5 working days.
The translation is made from a document that already carries the apostille, and it includes the apostille. Translate too early and you will have to order it again. So we first collect the apostilled documents, then send them for translation in one batch.
A simple example
A family of 4: 2 police certificates, a marriage certificate, 2 birth certificates and a tax return. The apostilled documents arrive in Cyprus and the translator completes them in 3-5 working days at a guide rate of about €18-23 per page.
