What Plan A health insurance means
Plan A medical insurance is a policy from a Cypriot insurer covering hospital treatment and outpatient care. The PR criteria require health insurance with inpatient and outpatient cover for every family member.
The price depends on age. As a market guide: under 62, €120-150 a year per person; 62-64 about €210; 65-69 about €245; 70-74 about €270; 75-79 about €315; 80 and over about €430. A family of 2+2 starts from €560 a year. The policy is issued in a day.
Insurance is not only for filing. Every year, together with proof of the investment, the Migration Department checks a valid policy unless the family is in GESY, the Cyprus national health system.
