What Form MIP2 means
MIP2 is the immigration permit application form, the official application for Cyprus permanent residence under the fast-track procedure. The current version of the form is dated 09.03.2026.
The applicant fills it in and includes the spouse and children under 18. Students aged 18-25 and adult children file their own applications. The form is filed with documents on the investment, income, family and criminal records.
MIP2 can be filed in person or through an authorised representative under a certified power of attorney, so the client does not have to travel. The fee is €500 per application.
A simple example
An applicant with his wife and two children aged 12 and 16 files one MIP2 for the family. Their elder daughter, a 20-year-old student, files her own form with her own €500 fee. A representative files both; the family travels only for biometrics.

Adding a student aged 18-25 to the family form
The student files their own form with a separate €500 fee. The family form covers only the applicant, spouse and children under 18.
Filing before the property is paid for
By submission, €300,000 excluding VAT must be paid and the contract registered with the Land Registry. Without this the file is incomplete.

How to prepare
Collect the family and income documents first, then fill in the form: the data in MIP2 must match the documents exactly. If you do not want to travel to Cyprus to file, arrange a power of attorney for a representative in advance.
