Biometric passport for citizens

St Kitts and Nevis passport replacement

You already hold citizenship: only the passport changes. We review the documents of the whole family, complete the application on the government portal, book biometrics at a convenient centre and deliver the new passports. From 1 August 2027, programme passports issued before 14 April 2026 will no longer be accepted for travel.

02Who needs itProgramme citizens

Every programme citizen needs a new passport

On 14 April 2026 the Government of St Kitts and Nevis launched the National Biometric Enrolment and Passport Modernisation Programme. It is not a new citizenship and not a new review: your status as a citizen stays the same.

  1. Passport issued through the programme before 14 April 2026

Such a passport is valid for travel until 31 July 2027. To keep travelling you need to complete biometrics and receive a new biometric passport. The earlier you book, the more dates are available.

  2. Spouse, children and other dependants

The replacement applies to every family member who obtained citizenship through the programme, including children. Children are enrolled under age-appropriate standards and attend in person with a parent.

  3. Passport already expired or expiring soon

The new passport is issued through biometrics in the usual way. We agree in advance which document the person will present at the centre for identification, before booking.

  4. You want the 10% discount

The government fee discount applies when the booking is made and biometrics completed between 20 July and 31 December 2026. Standard fees resume on 1 January 2027.

If you are only planning to obtain St Kitts and Nevis citizenship, biometrics is part of the application after approval in principle. See the programme page. St Kitts and Nevis citizenship

03How it works4 stages

How passport replacement works

Four stages from the first message to the new passport. Your part is to send the documents and attend biometrics. We can pay the government fees for you with our card.

  1. Documents

We review the passports, certificates and civil records of the whole family and arrange translations, notarisation and apostille. You send copies.

  2. Application and booking

We register you on the government portal, complete the application and find a centre and date. The fee is paid on the portal: with your card, or with ours if you have no suitable card.

  3. Biometrics

The authorised agent confirms the booking and we send a checklist. You attend with originals; the appointment takes 15-30 minutes.

  4. New passport

The passport is produced in St Kitts within 4-6 weeks. We check the data and arrange courier delivery.

The passport changes, the citizenship stays

You remain a citizen of St Kitts and Nevis. The new biometric passport keeps your visa-free access and works just like the old one.

04Where to enrol14 centres

Fourteen centres in different countries

You do not need to fly to St Kitts: official centres in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America take biometrics. Available dates are shown on the portal at booking.

Choose the country and city on the left where you want to enrol, and how many people will attend. List published by the government as of 23.10.2026. Passports are not issued at the centre: they are produced in St Kitts and sent by courier.

05Typical situations8 situations

What people come to us with

Eight common situations and how we handle them. Yours may combine several.

  1. A father and a six-year-old son whose passport has expired

The father’s passport is valid, the son’s expired a few months ago. Both enrol in Istanbul. We agree in advance which document identifies the child at the centre, prepare the father’s documents as legal guardian and book both for the same slot. Discounted government fees: USD 2,250 for the father and USD 1,170 for the son.

  2. A family of five, one trip

Two adults, a 17-year-old daughter and two younger children. We book everyone on the same day at one centre so you fly once. The daughter aged 16+ pays the adult rate, the younger ones the child rate. We check how the portal treats the third adult before payment.

  3. A family in London that wants no queue

We book the VIP Suite at the Royal Exchange: a private slot, including evenings, the whole family with children in one visit. USD 500 on top of the government fees. Arranged through an authorised agent, as the government requires.

  4. The surname changed after marriage

The surname in the old passport and the marriage certificate differs from the one needed in the new passport. We prepare the marriage certificate with translation and certification and check the Latin spelling across all documents so the new passport is correct.

  5. The old passport is lost

You cannot attend biometrics without a valid passport. First we file the loss report and agree how identity will be confirmed, then we book. It takes longer than usual, so we start right away.

  6. The birth certificate was issued in another country

The document is in Russian, Kazakh or Turkish. We determine which translation and certification will be accepted, add an apostille only where it is really needed and order nothing extra.

  7. A busy travel schedule

The old passport is needed for work until the last day. We find a biometrics date between trips and agree in advance when the Passport Office may need the old passport, so no business trip is lost.

  8. Remembering in spring 2027

The closer 31 July 2027 gets, the fewer dates are free. We look for the nearest centre with slots, in another country if needed, and prepare documents in parallel with the booking.

06Special casesTiming and cost

What to know in advance

Six questions that most often change timing and cost.

01Children enrol in person

The government requires all dependants, including children, to enrol under age-appropriate standards. A child attends the centre with a parent or legal guardian.

  • The child’s birth certificate
  • Legal guardian documents
  • Consent of the other parent if travelling with one
  • Child rate under 16: USD 1,300, with discount USD 1,170
02If the passport has already expired

The new passport is issued through biometrics, but identity must be confirmed at the centre. We agree the approach for an expired passport before booking so the visit goes ahead.

  • The expired St Kitts and Nevis passport
  • A valid passport of another country, if any
  • Citizenship certificate
  • Birth certificate
03Passport lost or stolen

First a loss report and identity confirmation, then the biometrics booking. We allow extra time.

  • Report: we record the loss
  • Identity confirmation: using the certificate and other documents
  • Booking and biometrics: as usual
04What happens to the old passport

At the appointment the passport is presented for identification only and is not surrendered. Before issuing the new one, the Passport Office may ask for the old passport. We align this with your travel.

  • You keep the passport at biometrics
  • We confirm in advance when to hand in the old passport
  • Until 31.07.2027 the old passport is valid for travel
05Not every document needs an apostille

Documents are uploaded to the portal after notarisation. Whether a translation and apostille are needed depends on the country that issued the document. We check each document and do nothing extra.

  • English translation if the document is in another language
  • Notarised copies
  • Apostille where the document’s origin requires it
  • All of this is included in our quote

Document apostille

06If you miss 31 July 2027

You remain a citizen, but the old passport will no longer be accepted for international travel. You can still obtain a new passport by completing biometrics at the fees in force at that time.

  • Citizenship is not lost
  • The old passport is not valid for travel
  • No discount after 31.12.2026

13FAQ11 questions

Frequently asked questions about passport replacement

01I am already a citizen. Do I need to obtain St Kitts and Nevis citizenship again?

No. This is a passport replacement, not a new citizenship. Your citizenship status does not change. You need to complete biometrics and receive a new biometric passport.

02By what date must biometrics be completed?

Citizens who obtained citizenship through the investment programme must enrol by 31 July 2027. After that date, passports issued before 14 April 2026 are not accepted for travel.

03How much does passport replacement cost?

Government fee: USD 2,500 for the main applicant aged 16+, USD 2,000 for a second adult, USD 1,300 for a child under 16. A 10% discount applies when booking and biometrics are completed by 31 December 2026. Our fee starts from EUR 1,000. Courier delivery of the passports is quoted in the estimate at the courier rate.

04Does a child need to complete biometrics?

Yes. The government requires all dependants, including children, to enrol under age-appropriate standards. A child attends the centre with a parent or legal guardian.

05Can I enrol in Istanbul?

Yes. Istanbul is one of the official centres, together with London, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, St Kitts, Ottawa, Toronto, the Washington D.C. area, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jeddah, Lagos and Iraq.

06Can I collect the passport at the centre where I enrolled?

No. Passports are produced by the Passport Office in St Kitts and are not issued at embassies or biometric centres. The finished passport is sent by courier.

07How long does the new passport take?

The government states 4-6 weeks for production after biometrics, plus time for document preparation, booking and delivery.

08Is the old passport taken at biometrics?

No. At the appointment the passport is presented for identification only. We agree in advance when the Passport Office may need the old passport, based on your travel.

09Does the birth certificate need an apostille?

It depends on the country that issued it. Documents are uploaded to the portal after notarisation. We check each document and add an apostille only where it is needed.

10What if I have no card to pay the government fee?

We pay the government fees with our card on the government portal, and you reimburse them together with our fee. This is our advantage: you do not need a foreign card of your own.

11Can I enrol on my own, without an agent?

No. The government requires every citizen to appoint an authorised agent, who provides the registration link and confirms the booking. Booking and payment are only on the government portal.

Want to replace your passport? Book before the offer ends on 31 December 2026
