I head the BRIDGES office in Istanbul, and in recent months more and more people come to me with one question: “Can I enrol biometrics for my St Kitts and Nevis passport here, without flying to the Caribbean?” You can. The Government of St Kitts and Nevis has opened official centres in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and North America. Below is the full list as of 23 October 2026, the difference between a standard booking and the London VIP Suite, and practical tips on choosing a centre so the whole family enrols in one trip. If you would like us to handle the booking, our terms are on the St Kitts and Nevis passport replacement page.

In short

  • St Kitts and Nevis passport biometrics is taken at 14 official centres: St Kitts, Istanbul, London, the VIP Suite at London’s Royal Exchange, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ottawa, Toronto, the Washington D.C. area, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jeddah, Lagos and Iraq.
  • You do not have to go to the island. Choose the centre by how easy the flight is for the whole family.
  • Booking is only through the government portal and is confirmed by an authorised agent. Available dates are shown at booking.
  • The visit takes 15-30 minutes per person. The passport is not issued at the centre: it is produced in St Kitts within 4-6 weeks and sent by courier.
  • The London VIP Suite costs USD 500 on top of the government fee: a private slot, a private lounge and the whole family in one appointment.

The full list of biometric centres

The National Biometric Enrolment and Passport Modernisation Programme has run since 14 April 2026. Booking opened on 20 April, the first wave of centres abroad opened on 1 May and the second from 1 June. The government now publishes the following list of centres where bookings are in operation.

Besides these centres, the government mentions embassies and high commissions. The nearest available locations are shown on the government portal at the moment of booking. So the portal list may be wider than the published one, especially for citizens living far from the major centres.

How to choose a centre: five questions

The nearest centre is not always the most convenient. Before booking I ask clients to answer five questions.

  1. Where does each family member live? If adult children study in another country, it is sometimes easier to book them at their own centre rather than bring everyone to one place.
  2. What visas are needed to enter the centre’s country? Check the requirements for the passport you will travel on, especially for children.
  3. When are the children’s school holidays? The visit takes 15-30 minutes, but with travel it is a day or two. Holidays solve the question of missed school.
  4. Can you make it by 31 December 2026? If you want the 10% discount on the government fee, look for a centre with free dates in November and December.
  5. Do you need privacy and flexible timing? Then consider the London VIP Suite.

The answers usually narrow the choice to two or three centres straight away. After that, available dates on the portal decide.

Istanbul: a convenient centre for Europe, the CIS and the Middle East

Istanbul has become one of the most requested centres among our clients, and the reason is clear. There are direct flights to and from Istanbul from most cities in Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia and the Middle East. For a family living in, say, Germany, Kazakhstan or Georgia, it is a short flight and one night in a hotel.

More on this topic: Pros of St. Kitts citizenship in 2026.

Practical tips for Istanbul. Plan the visit for a weekday and allow time for travel: the city is large, and the journey from the airport or the Asian side can take over an hour. If you travel with children, choose morning slots and a hotel near the centre. The exact address and instructions arrive in the appointment confirmation; rely on it rather than on online maps.

Our Istanbul office helps families organise the visit: we advise on planning the day and stay in touch. A typical example is a father and a six-year-old son whose passport has expired. We agree the child’s identification approach in advance, book both for the same time and are on call on the day. More on children in our article on biometrics for children.

What this means for you. Istanbul is convenient if you live in Europe, the CIS or the Middle East. Allow a full day for the visit with travel and choose a morning slot if you have children.

London and the Royal Exchange VIP Suite

London offers two options: a standard booking at the centre at the standard fee and the VIP Suite in the Royal Exchange building in the City. The government opened the VIP Suite specifically for programme citizens. It is appointment-only and suits those who value time and privacy.

What the VIP Suite offers: flexible timing, including out of hours; a dedicated host and private lounge for the duration of the visit; the whole family, including children under 16, enrolled in a single appointment. The Suite costs USD 500. Government fees do not change and are paid, as everywhere, on the government portal. The VIP Suite is booked through the authorised agent.

Who it is worth it for: families with several young children, people with tight work schedules who need an evening slot, and those who will be in London on business anyway. If you are flying to London only for biometrics, compare the trip cost with Istanbul or Dubai.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi

The UAE has two centres: Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Dubai is more popular, and dates go faster there, especially before holidays. Abu Dhabi is a good back-up if Dubai has no suitable time: the drive between the cities takes about an hour and a half.

For families living in the Gulf states, the UAE is the shortest option. For those flying from Europe or the CIS, the choice between Dubai and Istanbul usually comes down to free dates and ticket prices.

St Kitts: biometrics as a reason to get to know the island

There is also a biometric centre on St Kitts itself. Most programme citizens do not need to travel there for 30 minutes, but many use it as a reason to see the country of their second citizenship for the first time. A week on the island, a trip to Nevis, meeting the bank and lawyers all strengthen the link with the country.

This is especially relevant now that the government has announced a residency element for investors. The number of days and the start date have not yet been published, but a trip to the island works for the value of the passport either way. More on this in our analysis of the St Kitts residency requirement.

How booking works at any centre

The process is the same for all centres. The government requires every existing citizen to appoint an authorised agent and prohibits booking through any third-party platform.

  1. The authorised agent sends a personalised link and code.
  2. You register on the government portal with your Certificate of Registration number and complete the application.
  3. You choose the nearest centre, date and time and pay the government fee.
  4. The booking moves to Waiting for Agent Confirmation status.
  5. The agent confirms the booking and it becomes final. Confirmation goes to you and the agent.
  6. You attend the centre with original documents.

Once confirmed, a booking can be rescheduled no later than 72 hours before the visit, if the centre has free places. The government fee is generally non-refundable after confirmation. So it is best to agree the date with the whole family before paying. What to bring is covered in detail in our article on documents for passport replacement.

What happens at the centre

The visit takes 15-30 minutes per person. Fingerprints, a digital facial image and a digital signature are taken, and an iris scan where applicable. The passport is presented for identification and is not surrendered.

Since 1 September 2026 the photo taken at the centre goes straight into the passport. So come in dark plain clothing, without glasses or headwear except religious, and without heavy make-up. According to the Citizenship Unit, clients at the centres are hosted by a dedicated relationship manager, and there are family-friendly touches for children accompanying their parents.

After the visit the data goes to the Passport Office in St Kitts. Programme citizens’ passports are produced centrally on the island and are not issued at biometric centres, embassies or high commissions. The finished passport is sent by courier. The government states 4-6 weeks for production after biometrics; delivery is paid separately.

What this means for you. You go to the centre once. There is no need to return for the passport: a courier will bring it.

How much biometrics costs at different centres

The government fee is the same at all centres: USD 2,500 for the main applicant aged 16+, USD 2,000 for a second adult and USD 1,300 for a child under 16. A 10% discount applies when booking and biometrics are completed by 31 December 2026. Only the travel cost differs and, in London, the USD 500 VIP Suite surcharge. A detailed family estimate is in our article on passport replacement cost.

Bottom line

St Kitts and Nevis passport biometrics is taken at 14 official centres on five continents. Choose a centre by how easy the flight is for the whole family, date availability and visa requirements. Istanbul and Dubai suit Europe, the CIS and the Gulf, London with its VIP Suite suits those who value time and privacy, and St Kitts suits those who want to see the island. The general biometrics guide is in our article on St Kitts and Nevis biometrics.
