01SituationsThree cases

Which case is yours

The procedure depends on what happened to the passport. Loss and theft need more documents, damage needs fewer.

  1. The passport is lost

You need an affidavit with the passport details and the circumstances of the loss, the Passport Recovery Form and a police report. They go to the Passport Office at least one month before the application for a new passport.

  2. The passport is stolen

The same procedure as for loss: a police report, an affidavit and the recovery form. The passport application states the police report number and date.

  3. The passport is damaged

No affidavit or police report is needed. The damaged passport is handed in with the recovery form and the application for a new passport.

  4. An urgent trip and no passport

St Kitts and Nevis embassies and high commissions can issue a temporary travel document. It is usually valid for one trip to St Kitts and Nevis.

03ProcedureFour steps

How we replace the passport

The Passport Office must first be told about the loss, and only then does it consider a new application.

  1. We review the situation

We find out what happened, where you are, which documents remain and whether a trip is coming up.

  2. We prepare the loss documents

Affidavit, Passport Recovery Form, police report. We file them with the Passport Office.

  3. We apply for a new passport

One month after the loss notice we file the application with the citizenship documents and pay the fee.

  4. We receive the passport

We follow production and arrange courier delivery of the new passport.
