BRIDGES Index
BRIDGES Index: passports by your goal
Not only visa-free destinations. Eight criteria from open sources: taxes, stability, quality of life, US access, dual citizenship. Choose a goal or set the weights yourself.
How the index works
- 01
Eight criteria
Mobility, stability and rule of law, quality of life, health and longevity, education, taxes, US access, plan B and family. Each criterion is scaled from 0 to 100: the best passport gets 100, the weakest 0.
- 02
The goal sets the weights
The balanced index weighs all criteria equally. The Travel, Life and family, Capital and taxes and Plan B goals emphasise what matters for that goal. Sliders change the weights manually.
- 03
Open data only
Every figure comes from a public source with an open licence and was checked independently. Ratings that cannot be verified (how banks see a passport, approval odds) are not part of the index.
- 04
Citizenship-based tax
The US taxes its citizens wherever they live, so the US passport scores 0 on taxes. Eritrea levies a diaspora tax, which is also reflected.
