What has changed in the programme
- 15 January 2026

- 28 November 2025
According to the industry monitor IMI Daily, over 2025 the Prime Minister of Egypt signed 36 decisions granting citizenship, and a requirement for personal visits appeared in the programme: at least two days at the filing stage and up to four weeks after approval. The programme no longer has a fully remote process.
- 21 May 2023
Law No. 28 of 2023 was published: the requirement to buy property only from the state was removed from Article 4 bis. From 22 May 2023 the programme accepts properties from private developers and owners.
