Client story
Client's Story
Where they started
The client was an active investor: operating through brokers and crypto exchanges, holding capital in instruments across various platforms. Everything came down to one issue—his citizenship became a blocking factor for these platforms. Brokers restricted or blocked service; crypto exchanges closed or froze access.
Why the standard route did not work
The reason was not the client himself: capital was clean, no violations. Simply, platforms restrict clients from certain jurisdictions according to their policies—and his passport fell into such a category. He was cut off from his own instruments not for his actions, but for the citizenship in his document.
What BRIDGES had to solve
The solution lay not in disputes with platforms, but in changing his status. A second passport—citizenship that platforms service without such restrictions—changed the client's very category. Egyptian citizenship by investment provided an accessible second passport, with which he ceased to be a "client from a restricted jurisdiction."
Why a standard answer would not do
The client came to BRIDGES to solve the problem at the status level: obtain a second Egyptian passport and through it unlock access to brokerage and crypto accounts, closed due to his previous citizenship.
I invest through brokers and crypto exchanges, and at some point they simply began blocking me—not for anything, but because of my citizenship. My capital is clean, yet access is closed. Dmitry explained that arguing with platforms is futile; you need to change your status—get a second passport. We obtained Egyptian citizenship, and with it the accounts opened: for the platforms I'm now a client from a different category. The passport really worked as a key to my own money.
