Where they started
Gennady Petrovich and his wife have an adult son, a successful IT business owner in Dubai and Golden Visa holder. The task was warm and family-oriented: to relocate elderly parents to their son so they could be nearby, cared for, and comfortable in their later years. No drama—simply caring for one's elders.
Why the standard route did not work
The challenge was the duration of standard visas. If parents apply for a standard residential visa, it is typically issued for only one year—and must be renewed every year thereafter. For elderly people, annual bureaucracy and uncertainty create unnecessary stress, but what they wanted was long-term stability.
What BRIDGES had to solve
This is where the convenience of the Golden Visa becomes apparent, something not everyone knows about. Its holder—in this case, the son—can act as sponsor for his parents and arrange residency for them for 10 years at once, not just one year. This is the stability sought: arrange it once—and parents live alongside family for ten years without annual renewals.
Why a standard answer would not do
The family contacted BRIDGES for professional sponsorship arrangement: to process the parents under the son's Golden Visa for 10-year status while meeting the conditions—a suitable housing lease agreement and necessary deposit. Not a rescue, but a convenient and caring assembly of the family under one extended status.
Our son with a Golden Visa wanted to bring us to Dubai. Hanna arranged the sponsorship so that we are near our children for ten years.
