A second passport, without moving
Children under 30, parents and siblings in one application- 01Schengen, the United Kingdom and China without a visa
The visa waiver agreement with the European Union was signed on 28 May 2015 and applies to short trips. No visa is needed for the United Kingdom, but an ETA electronic authorisation is arranged. China - under a bilateral mutual visa waiver agreement.
- 02The E-2 investor visa to the United States
A citizen of Grenada can apply for the E-2 visa and run a business in the United States together with a spouse and children under 21. The visa is issued for up to five years and can be renewed an unlimited number of times. It is the only such option among the Caribbean programmes.
- 03A decision in 60 working days
The agency undertakes to consider a complete file within 60 working days provided the screening is passed. With document preparation and the issue of the passport the whole path takes 3-6 months.
- 04Without travelling to Grenada
Under the rules in force you do not have to visit the country before, during or after the process. The interview is held online. The presence requirement announced for 2026 is covered in the news section below.
- 05Taxes stay outside the island
Grenada does not tax income earned outside it, and there is no inheritance tax, gift tax or capital gains tax. Citizenship on its own is not tax residency - residency is determined separately.
- 06Dual citizenship is permitted
You do not have to give up your current passport. The Grenada passport is biometric, issued for five years and renewed under the law without a further contribution.

Calculate for my familyCalculated from the official fee table of the Investment Migration Agency Grenada (updated 21 May 2026) and SRO No. 12 of 2024. Due diligence is $5,000 and the interview a separate $1,000 for everyone aged 17 and over; the $6,000 in the agency Q&A is their sum, and we do not charge it twice. Intermediaries write about a future increase in the due diligence fee; there is no official decision as at 30 October 2026, so we confirm the amount on the filing date. The calculation is not a decision of a state authority.

The calculation shows the amount under programme rules and does not confirm eligibility: the checks decide that. Applications are not accepted from nationals and residents of several countries, including Russia and Belarus; a second citizenship or residence elsewhere does not lift the restriction by itself. How we work
You do not travel. We do the work.
We have worked since 2004. In that time more than 8,000 families have come through us. The Caribbean programmes are one of our key directions, and we run Grenada with an eye on what comes after the passport.
Free eligibility check
One personal manager- 01Working through a licensed agent
An application for Grenada citizenship is accepted only by a local agent licensed by the minister. We run the client together with such an agent and answer for the set of documents - that is not an option but the only lawful way to file.
- 02A straight assessment before the start
Before the work begins we run a preliminary check. If we see a risk of refusal we say so plainly and propose an alternative. We do not take on cases we are not confident in.
- 03The E-2 route is worked out in advance
Grenada is often taken for business in the United States. We build in the US requirement of three years after the grant of citizenship from the start, prepare the investment structure and handle the E-2 application as a second stage, with the same team.
- 04The full cycle, including life after the passport
Renewing the document, opening an account, registering a company, adding family members, tax questions. We stay with the client after the passport is issued.

TravelEntry rules
Where you can travel and where a visa is needed
Destinations fall into four entry regimes. We do not publish a total count of visa-free countries: the lists change, and a number without a verification date is misleading. We prepare the current list on the date of your enquiry.
Schengen, the UK and China without a visa- 01Visa-free
The Schengen area for 90 days out of 180, the United Kingdom, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Caribbean and the Commonwealth. Entry on the passport, with nothing arranged in advance.
- 02Electronic authorisation
The United Kingdom requires an ETA and the European Union is introducing ETIAS. That is not a visa: the authorisation is arranged online in a few minutes and lasts several years.
- 03Visa on arrival
The permit is issued at the airport or at the border. The receiving country sets the requirements for passport validity and supporting documents.
- 04Visa required in advance
The United States, Canada and Australia - the visa is obtained before the trip. For the United States a citizen of Grenada has a separate route: the E-2 investor visa, which is not available to citizens of the other Caribbean programmes.
The basis: the visa waiver agreement between the European Union and Grenada was signed on 28 May 2015 and applies to short trips. The United Kingdom keeps visa-free entry for citizens of Grenada with an ETA (GOV.UK). The possibility of applying for an E-2 visa follows from the treaty of friendship, commerce and navigation between the United States and Grenada; since 2019 the United States has required that the treaty-country citizenship be held for at least three years before the application. Entry rules are set by the receiving states and may change at any time.
ComparisonFive Caribbean programmes
Why Grenada among the Caribbean
The five Caribbean programmes are similar in amount and timeline, so the choice usually comes down to two lines: the E-2 visa to the United States and who can be taken into the application. The full comparison of every programme sits on its own page.

TeamBRIDGES
People who run your case
A Grenada application is run not by a “sales manager” but by a permanent team: the programme lawyer, a compliance specialist and a family coordinator. You know them all by name from day one.
Do you have to travel to Grenada?+
Under the rules in force, no. The agency states expressly that you do not have to visit the country before, during or after the process, and the interview is held online. At the same time five Caribbean programmes have announced a presence requirement - 30 days over the five years after citizenship is granted; the changes are expected in the second half of 2026 and will not affect applications filed before they take effect.
Is it true that a Grenada passport gives access to the E-2 visa in the United States?+
Yes, and it is the only Caribbean programme with that possibility: Grenada has a treaty with the United States that opens the E-2 investor visa. An important condition: since 2019 the United States has required that the treaty-country citizenship be held for at least three years before the visa application. So the route is built in advance, not “for a deal next month”.
Who can be included in the application?+
A spouse, children up to 30, parents, grandparents and unmarried siblings aged 18 and over. The programme sets no upper limit on the number of dependants. The $235,000 contribution covers the applicant and three dependants; parents and grandparents aged 55 and under and siblings are paid for separately whatever the composition - the calculator above takes that into account.
How long does the process take?+
The agency undertakes to consider a complete file within 60 working days provided the screening is passed, and the passport is issued within days of the request. With the collection and legalisation of documents the whole path takes from three to six months. The programme has no expedited procedure for a surcharge.
How do the fund and the property differ?+
The contribution to the National Transformation Fund from $235,000 is non-refundable, but it is the simplest and most predictable route. A share in an approved project costs from $270,000 plus a $50,000 government contribution: it is a share in a tourism project unit held together with other investors, not a separate apartment. A whole unit starts at $350,000 plus the same contribution. A share or a unit can be sold no earlier than five years after citizenship is granted, and buyer and price are not guaranteed. Taxes, registration and ownership costs are set by the contract of the specific project.
Can you keep your current citizenship?+
Yes. Grenada permits dual citizenship and does not require you to give up your current passport. It is worth checking separately how the law of your current country of citizenship treats a second citizenship.
For how long is the passport issued and how is it renewed?+
The Grenada passport is biometric and valid for five years. Renewal does not require a further contribution: under the law a citizen is entitled to a passport and cannot be refused one. We prepare and coordinate the renewal for our clients.
Does the Grenada passport give entry to the Schengen area and the United Kingdom?+
Yes. The visa waiver agreement with the European Union was signed on 28 May 2015: the Schengen area is available for 90 days out of every 180. The United Kingdom keeps visa-free entry but requires an ETA electronic authorisation. The European Union is introducing a similar authorisation, ETIAS - that is not a visa and is arranged online.
What is checked, and what happens if you are refused?+
The state carries out full due diligence through independent contractors: the origin of funds, convictions, investigations, sanctions lists and reputational risk. All the fees are non-refundable, so we run a preliminary check before filing: if we see a material risk of refusal we say so plainly and propose an alternative programme.
What taxes arise after citizenship is granted?+
Citizenship on its own is not tax residency. Grenada does not tax income earned outside it and has no inheritance tax, gift tax or capital gains tax. Your tax obligations are still determined by the country where you actually live - we go through that separately at the consultation.
Can family members be added later?+
Yes. A spouse, children and other dependants can be added after citizenship has been granted, through a separate procedure under the rules in force, paying the fees for each person added. There is no deadline for that.

What has changed in the programme
- 30 April 2026
Five Caribbean programmes - Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica and Saint Lucia - announced a common presence requirement: 30 days in the country over the five years after citizenship is granted, plus biometrics and an in-person or video interview. The changes are planned for the second half of 2026; applications filed before the rules take effect are considered under the current conditions.
- 2025
Further amendments to the programme regulations were adopted (SRO No 21 of 2025). The full list of legislation in force is published by the Investment Migration Agency Grenada in its Legal and Finance section.
- 1 July 2024
The Citizenship by Investment (Amendment) Regulations 2024 came into force: the minimum share in an approved project was raised from $220,000 to $270,000, and the minimum contribution to the National Transformation Fund is $235,000. The property holding period remained five years.
