Client's Story
Where they started
Vladimir Stepanovich is an investor with substantial capital, and his task was purely practical: to work with assets through European Union banks. However, under current conditions, European compliance is cautious, and transactions became complicated—not due to source of funds, but due to status and jurisdiction. He needed not simply an account, but a solid, transparent status with which EU banks would work as they do with their own clients.
Why the standard route did not work
This is where heritage proved valuable. Through his maternal line, Vladimir Stepanovich descended from Crimean Bulgarians—a community whose Bulgarian identity is historically documented. Bulgarian descent confers the right to citizenship, namely an EU passport. EU citizenship represents an entirely different status for a bank: transparent, comprehensible, and not triggering reflexive questions about jurisdiction.
What BRIDGES had to solve
It was important to maintain honesty within the framework. The matter was not about concealing the source of funds or circumventing checks—the capital had to remain transparent in any case. Rather, it was about legitimate entitlement to citizenship by descent providing the client with a status through which European banking became accessible on normal terms, rather than through continuous overcoming of barriers.
Why a standard answer would not do
Vladimir Stepanovich approached BRIDGES understanding that the task was twofold: first, to prove Bulgarian descent through the maternal line; second, to accomplish this swiftly and carefully, so that EU citizen status would function as a legitimate key to European banking.
I needed to work with assets through EU banks, but compliance kept complicating matters—the issue was status, not fund legitimacy. Dmitry found the solution in my heritage: my mother from Crimean Bulgarians, which is grounds for EU citizenship. He swiftly and carefully proved the descent, and EU citizen status opened normal access to European banking. Everything is legal: not a scheme, but my actual birthright, which became a practical instrument.
