- Recognition and apostille are different procedures
- An apostille confirms that a document is authentic. Recognition is an assessment of the qualification by an authority of the destination country. An apostille is often needed first but does not replace it.
- No diploma supplement
- The authority uses the supplement to compare subjects, hours and grades. Without it the procedure often stalls, so we obtain it in advance.
- Details on the diploma and passport differ
- A different surname or spelling: we prepare documents linking the diploma to you.
- The authority refused
- We review the grounds and prepare a new filing or additional documents.

It depends on the goal and the country. Some employers accept a diploma with translation, while a regulated profession, admission or a state procedure needs formal recognition or evaluation.
An apostille confirms that a document is authentic and says nothing about the education. Recognition is an assessment of the qualification by an authority of the destination country. An apostille is often needed first but does not replace it.
The right to work in a regulated profession. Besides the diploma, they may check experience, course content and language, and require registration with a professional body or a licence.
We request a duplicate, transcript, archive reference or confirmation of study. If the university was reorganised, we look for its successor or a state archive.
We check for a successor, an education archive, the ministry and accreditation records. Recovery cannot be guaranteed: first we find out whether the records survive.
