Born in Buenos Aires. His childhood fell in years when the peso lost value overnight, and the family taught him the main thing: money must be where inflation cannot eat it.
1997-2002Buenos Aires
Faculty of economics, specialising in finance. Thesis on how families protect savings during a crisis.
2003-2010Madrid
Seven years as an analyst at an asset manager: property and bond funds, checking managers, reporting. He learned to read a fund by its documents, not its advertising.
2010-2017Geneva
Investment adviser at a private bank. Clients from Europe, Latin America and the CIS. He married a woman from Moscow and learned Russian to understand his mother-in-law.
2017BRIDGES
Joined BRIDGES to build the investment department: funds, bonds and business routes for residence and citizenship programmes instead of a mandatory apartment.

Six rules that do not depend on the country

Six rules Andrés applies when choosing an investment.

01Status and capital together
The investment should give residence and keep the money. A dead asset for the sake of a paper is a bad deal.
02A fund is checked by its documents
Licence, manager, reporting, fees, payout history. Advertising and presentations do not count.
03Liquidity before entry
When one can exit, at what price and how long it takes. We count it before investing, not five years later.
04An apartment is not the only route
Funds, bonds, research, a business: many programmes give the same status without property.
05Currency and tax in the numbers
Income in euros or dirhams, withholding tax, tax at home. Net return only after all of it.
06No promised returns
We show the fund’s history and risks but promise no figures. The client decides with open eyes.

Tango, asado and a Russian mother-in-law

At BRIDGES I make sure a client’s money works rather than lies idle for the sake of a paper. I love it when a client comes for an apartment and leaves with a fund that gives the same status and income.

I am Argentinian, lived in Madrid and Geneva and now live in Dubai with my wife from Moscow and our two children. We speak Spanish and Russian at home, and on Sundays I grill asado for the whole family, like my father in Buenos Aires.

My wife and I dance tango, and once a year I take the family to my parents in Argentina. I love football, support Boca Juniors and read books on the history of money.

How we obtained Portugal's Golden Visa through investment in scientific research

Portugal · Golden Visa

A Golden Visa through research, not an apartment

Aliya was sure the Portuguese Golden Visa meant buying an apartment. After the reform property was removed as a ground, but the programme remained with other routes.

I suggested investing in scientific research: the capital goes to science and gives the same right to residence and the road to an EU passport. We checked the research project and the exit terms before investing.

A ten-year visa without a frozen apartment

Samuel needed a ten-year UAE visa, but he is an investor and did not want to freeze money in an apartment. Many think the Golden Visa comes only through property.

We chose an accredited investment fund, a contribution from two million dirhams. We checked the fund, obtained the contribution letter and filed the documents. The money works, the visa is granted.
