Consular legalisation ofdocuments worldwide

We obtain the documents needed in the country of issue and arrange the full route of their legalisation for use abroad.

BRIDGES GLOBAL supports the legalisation of personal, educational, corporate, notarial and other official documents. If the document is not to hand, we arrange for it to be obtained in the country of issue. Where needed we coordinate the preliminary certification, the translation, the notarial attestation, the consular legalisation and international delivery.

How we check the route

The procedure depends on two countries

The country of issue

It settles which bodies certify the document and in what order.

The country of destination

It settles whether legalisation at its mission is required and what exactly it accepts.

The type of document

Personal, educational, corporate, notarial or court — each has its own route.

The recipient of the document

An authority, a bank, a university or a court may have requirements of its own as to the format.

That is exactly why both countries are chosen first in the order card, and the exact route is confirmed by a specialist.

The result

What the client receives

The original or an official copy

The document in the form the recipient accepts.

The preliminary certifications

The notarial and departmental marks along the route.

Consular legalisation

The mark of the diplomatic mission of the country of destination.

A certified translation

Where required — in the recipient’s format.

The courier set

Questions and answers

Questions about consular legalisation

An apostille is a single mark of the authorised body of the country of issue, recognised by the other parties to the Hague Convention. Consular legalisation applies where that order does not: the document goes through several successive certifications and ends with the mark of the diplomatic mission of the country of destination.

The form of recognition is settled by the pair of countries and the type of document. Choose both countries in the order card: we will show the possible route and a specialist will confirm it before the work starts.

As a rule yes: we work under a power of attorney through partners in the country of issue. We prepare the form of the power of attorney ourselves and send it for signature before a notary.

Often yes — a notarised or official copy, if the country of issue allows that format and the recipient accepts it. That is checked before the work starts.

There are categories the bodies will not certify: documents with corrections and damage, for instance, and particular kinds of document under the rules of a given country. Whether it is possible is confirmed at the stage of checking the route.

It depends on the route: some countries require the translation before filing with the consulate, others after. A mistake in the order wipes out the work, so the sequence is fixed before the start.

For many routes yes — it comes before the departmental and consular marks. Whether it is needed is settled by the type of document and the requirements of the country of destination.

Usually longer than an apostille, because there are several stages: the guides by country are given in the geography block. We name the exact time after checking the route.

On the number of stages in the route: the preliminary certifications, the departmental fees, the consular fee, the translation, the notary, the delivery. Each item is shown as a separate line — there is no single “price for legalisation”.

Yes, and that is the usual situation: a set of documents is arranged as one project with one timeline and one quote rather than as separate requests.

Yes. The documents of the applicant, the spouse and the children are run in one project — which is easier both for the timing and for checking the set is complete.

Yes, international courier delivery with a tracking number is part of the service as a separate item.

The coordinator reports the passing of each stage of the route; the project statuses are also shown in the client account.

Yes, with no legalisation: we obtain the document in the country of issue and hand it to you. Legalisation can be added later if it turns out to be needed.
