Key terms
Evocabank builds its service around the app: onboarding, payments, cards and support — remotely. For non-residents the availability of remote opening depends on citizenship and the client’s situation; we verify it before the work starts, the base scenario being a short visit.

Non-residents
Opening without Armenian residency
Evocabank reviews non-resident applications under an internal procedure: citizenship and country of residence are assessed together with source of funds and account purpose. File preparation quality defines both the timeline and the outcome.
- An Armenian residence permit is not a mandatory filing condition
- A non-resident review takes longer — up to two weeks
- A pre-check before the visit reduces the risk of an on-site refusal

Statuses reflect review practice as of the verification date and are not a promise on the bank’s behalf. The bank makes the final decision on each specific application.
Requirements
What the applicant needs
The account opens personally to an applicant aged 18+ with a valid passport.
Evocabank expects a specific answer to why the account is needed: payments, savings, income or spending in Armenia.
Income and origin of capital must be documented. We prepare this part of the file before filing.
The standard scenario is in-person presence at a branch; specific scenarios are checked at the pre-check.
Preparation

The exact list depends on citizenship, residency and source of funds: after the pre-check we send a personal list with samples.

Process
How the account opening works
- 01Pre-check
We assess citizenship, residency, source of funds and account purpose — and say honestly whether the application has a prospect.
- 02Payment and project creation
Once the fit is confirmed we invoice the service. The project gets a number and a personal coordinator.
- 03Document collection
We send a personal list, verify each document and request anything missing in advance.
- 04Banking file
We build the file in the logic of compliance questions: source of funds, account purpose, expected operations.
- 05Filing and visit
We coordinate the date and branch in Yerevan, prepare the client for the bank’s questions and support the filing. Non-resident reviews take longer than for local clients.
- 06Compliance review
The bank reviews the application. We answer additional Evocabank requests and keep the client informed.
- 07Bank decision
The decision belongs to the bank. If declined, we analyse the reason and propose the next step — keeping the prepared file.
- 08Account and card
We help activate the account, the card and digital banking. On the extended package we stay available for bank requests.
Compliance
Compliance and source of funds
The bank assesses not the size of the capital but its clarity: where the funds come from, what the client does, what operations are planned. We prepare the file in this logic before filing, so most compliance questions close in advance rather than in correspondence after filing.
The final decision on opening the account, issuing the card and providing banking products belongs to the bank. BRIDGES GLOBAL provides consulting and support services and does not guarantee a positive bank decision. Payment is made for BRIDGES GLOBAL services in preparing and supporting the project.
Questions
Account opening questions
For certain citizenships and situations — yes, the bank runs video identification. Practice changes, so at the pre-check we say honestly whether the remote scenario applies to you.
Both are digital; Evocabank allows remote onboarding more often, IDBank has a broader product line. At the pre-check we match the fitting option to your situation.
No, a residence permit is not mandatory. Non-resident applications pass the bank’s internal procedure; ties to the country strengthen the application.
The main account currencies are AMD, USD and EUR with in-bank conversion. Other currencies are checked against the current line-up before the project.
A reference point is up to two weeks with a complete document set. The timeline depends on the depth of the Evocabank review and may extend with additional requests.
Payment covers BRIDGES GLOBAL’s preparation and support work, not the bank’s decision. We start with a free pre-check and do not take on applications without a realistic prospect. Termination terms are fixed in the agreement before payment.
