Client Background
Where they started
Arthur is only twenty-three, but he is a successful investor in the DeFi (decentralized finance) space, and his capital is in cryptocurrency. He found a penthouse in Business Bay for approximately 4.5 million dirhams and planned to obtain a Golden Visa on this property. He had the funds, earned honestly through cryptocurrency.
Why the standard route did not work
He encountered two Dubai realities. First: cryptocurrency cannot be used directly to purchase real estate—this is prohibited by the regulator. Therefore, Arthur converted part of his cryptocurrency through OTC (over-the-counter transactions) into cash dirhams. The second reality hit immediately: the developer's bank blocked this cash because the cash had no confirmed source of origin—source of cash.
What BRIDGES had to solve
The problem was not that the money was illicit, but that cash from cryptocurrency for banks is "money from nowhere" until its history is proven. Cryptocurrency income must not simply be converted to cash, but must pass through a transparent, documented pathway so that "suspicious cash" becomes clean funds that the bank will accept.
Why a standard answer would not do
Arthur contacted BRIDGES, understanding that the task was not "depositing cash," but legitimizing cryptocurrency capital: proving the origin of coins, conducting conversion through a licensed channel, and obtaining at the end a clean payment that both the developer's bank and the Golden Visa program would accept.
I earn through cryptocurrency and wanted a penthouse and Golden Visa. I cannot pay directly with cryptocurrency, so I converted through OTC into dirhams—but the developer's bank blocked this cash: no source. Dmitry did not "deposit cash," but did it correctly: he conducted an audit of my wallets through Chainalysis, proved that my coins are clean, routed the funds through a licensed gateway—and on the output a clean Manager Cheque. The payment was accepted, the visa was issued.
