What this means in practice: with a Vanuatu passport you cannot currently enter Britain without a visa obtained in advance.

Which document is needed

• Standard Visitor Visa - a standard visitor visa for tourism, business trips, short-term study (courses up to 6 months) and visiting family.
• The length of stay is usually up to 6 months.
• Long-term options for 2, 5 and 10 years are available for frequent trips (with the same per-visit stay limit).

How to apply

• The application is online on the GOV.UK portal, with payment of the fee.
• Biometrics (fingerprints and photo) - at a visa center.
• Document package: proof of the purpose of the trip, financial solvency, ties to the country of residence, an itinerary.

In other words, a Vanuatu passport does not simplify entry to Britain compared with most other passports - the procedure is standard.
