Client's Background
Where they started
Andrey is a person with accumulated capital held carefully in a Swiss bank account. From the outside, it appears that obtaining a residence permit with such funds should be straightforward. In practice, the Swiss account itself became the bottleneck.
Why the standard route did not work
The issue is not the legitimacy of the funds, but their movement. Any large outgoing international transfer from a Swiss bank undergoes strict scrutiny: purpose, beneficiary, and justification. On the Malta side, an incoming transfer from Switzerland faces AML controls. Between them are correspondent banks, each of which can delay the transfer for inquiries.
What BRIDGES had to solve
MPRP payments are multiple and varied in nature: government contribution, property rental or purchase, charitable donation, agent fee. Sending them haphazardly means almost certainly getting a stuck transfer and requests to "explain this payment," along with missed deadlines.
Why a standard answer would not do
Andrey approached BRIDGES understanding that the task was not "finding funds" but transferring them in a way that no single payment would get stuck. What was needed was not money, but payment engineering.
Paying for Maltese permanent residence from a Swiss bank was frightening: everything gets stuck. Nikos agreed the route and the ground for every transfer. Everything went through.
