Client Background
Where they started
Saltanat and her family approached us with a positive, not urgent matter: they wanted to establish themselves in Cyprus—obtain lifetime EU resident status and simultaneously purchase two new apartments in Larnaca. One for themselves to visit the coast, a second for rental income. They had the funds, the goal was clear, no emergencies.
Why the standard route did not work
Cyprus permanent residence under Regulation 6(2) was an excellent fit: sufficient investment in new real estate, proof of income outside Cyprus, and the status is granted for life, without mandatory residency requirements or language proficiency. The family was planning a purchase above the minimum threshold.
What BRIDGES had to solve
There was one detail easily overlooked that could turn a pleasant purchase into a rejection. If the investment consists of two apartments, program rules require both be from the SAME developer. Purchasing two quality apartments in different complexes from different developers means the condition is not met, even if the investment amount is correct.
Why a standard answer would not do
The family approached BRIDGES specifically for peace of mind and precision: someone who understands such details in advance and selects properties so that the apartments appeal to them and the rule is satisfied. No drama—simply competent work.
We had no problems—we simply wanted permanent residence and two apartments in Larnaca, for ourselves and rental. Igor immediately warned us about the requirement: if you purchase two apartments, both must be from one developer, otherwise the application will be rejected. He selected two excellent options for us in one complex from a reputable developer, all compliant with the rule. We secured lifetime permanent residence smoothly, without stress. It's gratifying when work is simply done well.
