01 / The essentials first
What to know about the status before the calculation
Four things that decide the budget and what the resident undertakes.
- The investment stays yours
€600,000 is placed in assets in the principality — property or financial instruments. It is not a contribution to the state: the asset remains in your ownership.
- The deposit comes back
On top of the investment an interest-free deposit is lodged with the Financial Authority: €50,000 for the applicant and €10,000 for each dependant. It is returned when the status ends.
- 90 days a year in the country
Presence is required, but lightly: a quarter of the year is enough. This is not a full move, but nor is it a status you can simply hold.
- Tax lower than in Europe
Income tax in Andorra runs to 10%. Tax residence is settled separately and depends on actual presence and the centre of your interests.
02 / The budget
What your family needs
Choose the way to invest and the family: the deposit is counted per dependant.
03 / Two options
Property or financial assets
The threshold is the same; the liquidity, the costs that go with it and the speed of placing differ.
The values were checked against the official material on 12.08.2026. Only the rows for which there is no official wording are marked separately.
