Client's story
Where they started
The couple are both entrepreneurs whose business operations spanned Latin America: partners, suppliers, and clients across various countries in the region. Their business required frequent travel, and they constantly encountered visa obstacles.
Why the standard route did not work
Each trip with an "inconvenient" passport was a separate ordeal: application, waiting for a decision, risk of denial or delay. For business where a meeting cannot be postponed for a month due to visa processing, this became a real impediment—deals stalled due to administrative formalities.
What BRIDGES had to solve
A second passport changes this dynamic. Saint Lucia citizenship provides broad visa-free access, including to Latin American countries, and enables travel for meetings and negotiations without obtaining visas for each trip. This does not eliminate specific countries' requirements, but it removes significant barriers and restores business efficiency. The document is neutral, without raising undue suspicion.
Why a standard answer would not do
The couple approached BRIDGES seeking this freedom of movement: to obtain Saint Lucia citizenship for both individuals so they could conduct business throughout Latin America without being constrained by visa requirements for each trip. They made their own decisions about where to open offices and conclude deals; our task was to provide mobility.
Our business spans all of Latin America, and we are constantly traveling somewhere. With our passport, every trip means a visa, waiting, stress, and a deal cannot be postponed for a month. Sergey proposed a second Saint Lucia passport—it provides broad visa-free access across the region. We obtained it for both of us, and business trips no longer hinged on paperwork. He was honest that country regulations remain in place, but barriers decreased significantly. For our business, this restored speed.
