Client's story
Where they started
The client's source of funds for citizenship was cryptocurrency. He purchased coins over several years, held them, partially traded them, and at the time of application converted a significant amount into conventional currency. The income is genuine and legitimate, but for investment citizenship, cryptocurrency is a source subject to the strictest scrutiny.
Why the standard route did not work
The reason lies in the nature of cryptocurrency. Coins are often purchased long ago and on different platforms, transferred between wallets, passed through exchanges of varying reputation. For banks and due diligence, such a money trail appears opaque: a large sum arrived "from crypto," but how it originated there is unclear. Without verification of the source of funds, assets can easily become frozen "pending clarification."
What BRIDGES had to solve
The key is not to conceal the crypto history, but to trace the entire money path. Capital is clean if the entire chain is shown transparently: when and with what funds coins were purchased, on which exchanges, how they moved between wallets, how and through which platform they were converted to fiat, how the fiat arrived in the account. A traced path transforms "unclear crypto" into a verified source.
Why a standard answer would not do
The client came to BRIDGES to undergo verification with such a source: to trace the crypto income path from coin purchase to funds in the account, verify its legitimacy, and obtain Saint Lucia citizenship.
My money is cryptocurrency that I purchased over several years on different exchanges and then converted to conventional currency. I understood that for verification this is the most complicated source: a large sum arrived, but where from is unclear. Dmitry did not hide the crypto history but traced the entire path: when and what I purchased coins with, how they moved, through which exchange I converted to fiat, how the money arrived in the account. Verification saw a transparent chain, and I obtained a Saint Lucia passport. With crypto, the main thing is to show the entire money trail.
