Client Story
Where they started
Artem and Marina were not looking for temporary status requiring annual renewal, but for long-term and stable status - something to arrange once and forget about for a decade. The Hungarian investor residence permit, issued immediately for 10 years, was ideal. They had the investment funds: Artem had sold his business stake a year earlier.
Why the standard route did not work
However, as soon as they moved forward, concerns surfaced. First: does investing 250,000 EUR in real estate through a fund mean the money will be frozen solid with no access? Second: there are many funds on the market, all with attractive presentations - how do you avoid a fake and not lose your capital?
What BRIDGES had to solve
There was also a third, non-obvious barrier for the clients themselves - the banking one. Even legitimate money from a business sale needs to be properly presented: the bank and Hungarian authorities will ask where a person suddenly got a quarter of a million euros. Without a clear answer, the payment simply will not go through.
Why a standard answer would not do
The couple turned to BRIDGES, understanding that the task was not to find money, but to invest it in the right and reliable instrument and ensure that its origin raises no questions whatsoever.
We were afraid of two things: that the money would be stuck in some fund forever and that we would be deceived about the fund. Dmitry first laid out clearly where our money came from so the bank would have no questions. Then he did not take us to the first available fund, but compared several and showed us on the numbers how and when we could exit. We felt confident - and we obtained a 10-year residence permit.
