Where they started
A client from Kazakhstan sought a European Residence Permit for business and travel. Kazakhstan is not under sanctions, and the Greek program is fully accessible to its citizens.
Why the standard route did not work
The contrast is important, as discussed in other case studies in this series. Russian and Belarusian citizens cannot access the Greek Golden Visa since 2022 - we first obtain a second passport from a non-sanctioned country for them. Kazakhstan citizens do not need this: their passport has no restrictions, so the path is direct - without second citizenship or workarounds.

The Kazakhstani investor did not need a second passport: Kazakhstan citizenship already provides direct access. The rest is standard: investment, opening accounts, fund transfers, real estate acquisition, and application submission.
Why a standard answer would not do
At BRIDGES, we guided the client through the direct Golden Visa route: prepared documents, assisted with bank accounts and fund transfers, selected and registered real estate meeting program thresholds, and submitted the application. Real estate was selected according to program requirements.
I'm from Kazakhstan and wanted a Greek Residence Permit. BRIDGES immediately said: you don't need a second passport, unlike Russians - your Kazakhstani passport has no restrictions.
