Where they started
The client - an entrepreneur from Kazakhstan - sought European residence permit and convenience with EU banks for business operations. For Kazakhstanis there are no sanctions barriers, therefore all procedures proceed normally.
Why the standard route did not work
The key point is to show the contrast we discussed in other cases in this series. Russians and Belarusians cannot access Greek Golden Visa since 2022 based on their passports - we first obtain a second passport from a non-sanctioned country for them. Kazakhstani citizens do not need this: their passport has no restrictions, therefore the path is direct - without second citizenship and workarounds.

Key advantage for business: a Kazakhstani citizen has no sanctions restrictions on transfers and accounts, therefore establishing investment and working with EU banks is much easier than for a Russian.
Why a standard answer would not do

Investment was established through European accounts.
