Second citizenship 20+ programmes
One client needs an EU passport, another a backup jurisdiction, a third freedom of movement or the ability to run an international business. We work with 21 programmes in four regions: we choose a solution for the goal rather than sell what is on the shelf.
- The managing partner runs the case personally
- Our own lawyers in every jurisdiction
- Over 8,000 cases in 20 years

01 / Why it matters
What a second citizenship gives you
Every client has their own goal. Most often a second passport solves several at once, and that is what decides which programme fits.
Freedom of movement
Visa-free entry to 150-180 countries. Business trips, medical care and education without visas or waiting at consulates.
Moving the family
The right to live, study and work in the chosen country together with your spouse and children, and in some programmes your parents too.
International business
Access to new markets and jurisdictions, a route to the US E-2 business visa, and convenient structuring of companies and assets.
Banking and payments
Accounts at reliable banks, international payment systems, and protection and diversification of capital.
A backup jurisdiction
A second passport as insurance against economic, political or personal change: a plan B that is always to hand.
Your children’s future
Education at world universities, the right to live and work abroad and a citizenship that passes down the generations.
Choose by goal
Choose a citizenship for your goal
Choose what matters to you and the list of programmes will rebuild around that goal. The order comes from the catalogue: timelines and amounts are not arranged by hand.

05 / Budget
A preliminary estimate for your family
An indication of the amounts, depending on who is in the application. We prepare an exact calculation after checking your details.
CALCULATION
The cost of a programme is more than its set investment threshold
The investment comes with government fees, the applicant check, costs for each family member, documents and professional support. Below is a preliminary estimate for your family.
Turkey (citizenship) · 3 people
- Investment or contribution
- $400,000
- Costs on top of the investment
- $32,000
Returnable: Yes — after 3 years. Holding period: 3 years.
The calculation is preliminary. The final cost is set after checking the family, the chosen option and the current government tariffs.

07 / Checks and process
Preparation starts before filing
Due diligence is done before you pay anything: background, documents, source of funds and business history. Below is what is checked and how the process runs.
DUE DILIGENCE
Preparing for the review starts before you file
The government review looks not only at the documents but also at the source of funds, business history and open sources. A preliminary audit shows the questions in advance so the answers are ready, rather than learning about them from a refusal.
Source of funds
How the amount sent to the programme was built up: income, asset sales, dividends, inheritance. The whole chain is assessed, not the account balance.
Source of capital
Documentary proof of every stage: contracts, financial statements, tax returns, bank statements.
Business history
Companies, stakes, roles in structures, the nature of the business and the jurisdictions of presence.
Tax position
Residence, compliance with obligations, no open disputes with the tax authorities.
Court and regulatory matters
Proceedings, regulator orders, enforcement cases, both closed and ongoing.
Sanctions restrictions
Screening against sanctions and restrictive lists, including related persons and companies.
Ownership structure of assets
Who the ultimate beneficiary is, through which levels ownership is held and how transparent the structure is.
Public reputation
Open sources and publications the government authority will see during its review.
Immigration history
Previous applications, visa refusals and their reasons, current statuses in other countries.
What may need extra preparation
- The funds were built up long ago and some supporting documents are lost
- Income comes from several sources in different jurisdictions
- The ownership structure has intermediate companies with no obvious business purpose
- There was a previous visa refusal or a refusal under another programme
- The surname matches a person in publications or lists
- Assets or the business are linked to jurisdictions under restrictions
None of these points means a refusal on its own. It means the question is best closed with documents before filing.

From choosing a programme to receiving the documents
Eleven stages. Each shows what we do, what we need from you and what exactly completes the stage.

Citizenship is not granted to everyone or everywhere. So we start with the choice: which country and which programme suit you, and only then go for the passport.
08 / Why us
Why clients come to BRIDGES
The programmes are the same for everyone: the state sets them. Only the support differs.
The managing partner runs the case personally
Your application is not handed to a sales manager. The managing partner works out the programme strategy and handles complex cases.
Our own lawyers in every country
We do not resell someone else’s services: our own people work in each jurisdiction and answer for the result.
Checks before filing, not after a refusal
Preliminary due diligence is done before you pay anything. We find the weak points in advance.
Over 8,000 cases in 20 years
We have seen almost every scenario: visa refusals, complex sources of funds, divided families, disputed documents.
Infrastructure, not just a passport
An account, property, a company and tax planning: we build the whole structure so the passport works.
An honest no instead of a sale
If a programme does not suit you, we will say so at the consultation. Selling the wrong solution costs more than not selling.
09 / Team
Who handles your application
Your application is handled not by a sales manager but by a permanent team: the programme lawyer, a compliance specialist, a tax adviser and a family coordinator.

ViktorInvestorI did everything correctly: chose the fund, invested the money, and waited for my residence permit. Then it turns out the fund's certificate has an error, and because of that I might be denied. The money is invested, but the paperwork is flawed—and I'm the one who suffers!

Frequently asked questions
Yes. Each programme is approved by the country’s government and set out in its national law. Most countries allow a second citizenship; we check the details of your situation at the consultation.
Nineteen: six in Europe, six in the Caribbean and Latin America, two in Oceania and five in Africa and the Middle East. Some programme pages are still being filled in; we confirm their terms on the date you contact us.
There is no universal answer: it depends on the goal. For living in the EU an EU passport is strongest, for speed Vanuatu and the Caribbean, for budget Nauru and São Tomé, for a route to business in the USA Grenada and Egypt. We choose the solution to fit the goal.
Malta was the only such programme, and it is not accepting new applications now. The working route to an EU passport today is by descent: Bulgaria, Hungary, Austria. Many families have eligible ancestry without knowing it: we search the archives and check the family tree before filing.
The lowest threshold is Nauru, from $105,000. São Tomé from $120,000, Vanuatu from $130,000, Sierra Leone from $150,000. The Caribbean from $200,000, Egypt from $250,000, Turkey from $400,000. Bulgaria, Hungary and Austria require no investment, only government fees and professional support.
Vanuatu is the fastest, from 30 days. Sierra Leone 60-90 days, Nauru 3-4 months, the Caribbean and Turkey 3-6 months. Hungary 6 months, Bulgaria permanent residence in 6 months and a passport after 2 years.
In most investment programmes, no. The Caribbean, Vanuatu, Nauru, Turkey, Egypt and São Tomé have no residence requirement. The exception is Antigua: 5 days in 5 years.
Yes. All programmes include the spouse and children. Many go further: children up to 25-30, parents over 55, and Antigua brothers and sisters of any age.
Most programmes allow dual and multiple citizenship. Specific restrictions depend on your current country of citizenship; we check this at the consultation.
With proper preparation refusals are very rare: we carry out preliminary due diligence before filing. If a refusal does happen, in most programmes the money is returned minus the non-refundable government fees.
The managing partner personally runs every project, we have our own lawyers in each country and over 8,000 cases in 20 years. We build the full infrastructure: passport, account, property, company, tax planning.
