Albania: ETIAS for travel to Europe
Albania passport: visa-free to Schengen now, up to 90 days. Once ETIAS starts, an electronic authorisation will be needed before travel. Everything known as of 4 October 2026.

ETIAS is an electronic travel authorisation for 30 European countries for visa-exempt travellers. It is not a visa.

The system is not yet operating and no applications are accepted. The EU will announce the start date several months in advance (official website, 03.10.2026).
- 03
The fee is EUR 20. Travellers under 18 and over 70 pay no fee but still need an authorisation.
- 04
The authorisation is valid for 3 years or until the passport expires. Stays of up to 90 days in any 180 days.
- 05
Apply only on the official EU website. Sites already taking applications are not official.
